STAN “THE MAN’S” MOMENT
The year was 1955. The Good Guys (NL) vs. Bad Guys (AL) showdown had extended to the 12th inning. Stan “The Man” Musial – appearing in his 12th ASG – takes a few warm-up swings just outside the dugout, looks to his teammate, and says, “Let’s end this thing.” And end it he did. Musial planted one deep in the right field seats to end the All-Star Game with a 6 to 5 NL victory.
