Adam appeared in the ninth inning of a 13-7 game (Cards lead) against the Red Sox. He promptly gave up back-to-back hits, then settled down and ended the game with a groundout and 2 K’s (allowing a run to score on the groundout). All information courtesy of @JohnMarecek on Twitter. Thanks, much!
Since I didn’t get to see the actual performance, all I can say is that I hope the brass take away a positive impression of his outing. Hopefully, they view it as a “he settled in and got the necessary outs” rather than “back-to-back hits and a run.”
Eager to see how Tony and Dunc respond to his appearance.
